If you are already blogging regularly about a certain subject then it would make sense to tie in your product with this topic. Affiliate marketing is not simply a case of pasting those hyperlinks from the advertiser onto your web pages in the hope that site visitors will somehow be inspired to click through and make purchases. It is all about nurturing an audience for the products by engaging with them. This is where social media becomes invaluable. No, as long as you configure the right free offer to capture those all-important email addresses on your squeeze pages, and you build a great value chain with excellent sales funnels, you'll succeed. If all that sounds confusing to you, don't worry, you'll learn over time. That's what internet marketing is all about. It's a constant and never-ending education into an oftentimes-convoluted field filled with less-than-scrupulous individuals.

Furthermore, one of those that fails to teach the basics is also ridiculously expensive.

For instance, YouTube allows video-makers to embed advertisements through Google's affiliate network. New developments have made it more difficult for unscrupulous affiliates to make money.
